10 days Uganda and Rwanda safari 

Trip overview: a 10 days combined Uganda and Rwanda safari is a comprehensive tour that allows our client to experience the rich diversity, stunning landscapes, vibrant cultures of both countries. The itinerary includes visits to several national parks renowned for their wildlife, apes, promotes, cultural experiences that provide insight into local communities.

Day 1: either you arrive in Entebbe international airport in Uganda or Kigali international airport in Rwanda: where you will be welcomed by our representative driver guide tour your hotel either in Kigali or Entebbe for overnight rest.

  • If you arrive early morning or after noon hours you can conduct an evening and after city tours either visiting the Uganda wildlife education Centre, Entebbe botanical gardens, the shoe bill and Lake Victoria boat cruise or Kigali city tour visiting the Kigali genocide memorial site, Kigali craft markets and other city tours
  • You will either have a dinner and overnight in either Entebbe, Kampala or Kigali before embarking on the journey to the wilderness of Rwanda and Uganda

Day 2: transfer to kibale national park for chimpanzee tracking: Early morning your will have your breakfast and embark on a 5-6-hour drive in western region of Uganda via mityana, mubende, kyenjojo, Kyegegwa districts then to fortpotal.

Where you will have lunch in fortpotal town before checking in to your accommodation.

Day 3: chimpanzee tracking in kibale forest national park: early morning begins with a briefing at the park headquarters before embarking on chimpanzee tracking adventure and this activity takes between 3 to 5 hours, after lunch and relaxation at the lodge you will transfer to queen Elizabeth national park

Day 4: Game drive in queen Elizabeth national park and boat cruise: an early morning game drive offers opportunities to sport wildlife including lions, elephants, and numerous bird species, about cruise along the kanzinga channel provides close encounters with hippos and crocodiles

Day:5 tree-climbing lion in ishasha sector: a second game drive takes place in ishasha sector of queen Elizabeth national park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, after, you will transfer to either Bwindi impenetrable national park or mgahinga gorilla national park

Day 6: Gorilla tracking in either in  mgahinga gorilla national park or Bwindi impenetrable national park here it depends on gorilla traking post you choose and family either in Buhoma via Ishasa, Nkuringo via Kisoro and Kabale, Ruhija via Rubanda district  and an following an early breakfast and briefing about gorilla tracking proticals, you will hike into the forest to observe the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat for one hour

You will witness with your eyes how they feed, make nests, lead their families, the food they eat

And in evening after your lunch you can visit the Batwa communities and relaxing to the either lake bunyonyi or mutanda where you can carry our swimming and canoe trekking

  • Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park After enjoying activities around Lake Bunyonyi, guests will head towards Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This journey offers picturesque views of rolling hills and tea plantations.
  • Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park Similar to Day 5 but now in Rwanda, this day involves another thrilling gorilla trekking experience followed by a visit to Iby’iwacu Cultural Village.
  • Day 9: Golden Monkey Tracking and Visit Twin Lakes Guests will track golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park before visiting the scenic twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera later that day.

Day 10: Return to Kigali for City Tour and Departure The final day includes returning to Kigali where travelers can explore key sites such as the Genocide Memorial before heading back home or continuing their journey elsewhere
